Many parents feel helpless when their kids are acting out of control or regressing in their development. And, an increasing number of kids are struggling with their mental health and parents feel frustrated because they don’t always know how to help. But it doesn't have to stay that way. I provide transformative child counseling so kids can find relief from mental struggles and I work to equip parents with tools to make meaningful connections with the kiddos for a lifetime.

I have over 24 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. My initial training was child and adolescent focused, however, I have worked extensively with adults, young adults and couples over the last 12 years. I have 16 years experience working for a non-for profit agency. This experience included working in adolescent group homes, specialized foster care, and consultation in a high school, summer camp, and elementary school. I received training at Loyola University's Sex Clinic for couples. This program focused on education, as well as opening lines of communication between partners.

I offer parents proven parenting strategies for all ages, from newborns to young adults. I also guide parents in recognizing familial patterns that may have been overlooked. As a parent of four myself, I understand first hand how overwhelming it can be!

We all find ourselves at times in our life that we require nurturance to help us through life's changes. Loss in our lives requires care and guidance by a professional. Loss may be defined in various ways, it may be death, divorce, depression, addictions, infidelity, anxiety, infertility just to name a few. I work to specifically assist individuals, couples, families and groups to alleviate emotional disorders, to understand conscious and unconscious motivation, to resolve emotional, relationship and attitudinal conflicts and to help modify behaviors that interfere with effective emotional, social adaptive, and intellectual functioning.

This has been such a hard season for many individuals and families navigating challenging issues with grief and loss. Most of my work has been providing support to children, adolescents, and adults during stressful experiences and transitions. My job allows me the privilege to witness the resilience and strength of individuals as they move through unexpected challenges. I believe it is important for all people to have a safe, non-judgmental, authentic space to feel validated and to help bring balance and healing to their life. I also work with therapists and medical providers who experience trauma and loss at work.
