I have experience with helping clients who are dealing with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders, low self-esteem, grief, and other major challenging life events. I also provide counseling to clients who are experiencing everyday life challenges who simply need someone to talk to in order to work through current and past life stressors, through individual or group therapy in a supportive and comfortable setting.

I am Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a Board Certified Coach and Choice Theory Reality Therapy Certified. Since 2009, I have had the honor and privilege to be entrusted with helping a wide range of clients navigate critical life transitions and mental health issues. I work with individuals, couples, teenagers, families, and groups. Special interests include working with interpersonal issues, anxiety, depression, self-harming, grief and loss, spirituality, parenting, stress management, and life transitions.

Many individuals can begin their therapy journey feeling overwhelmed with emotions, stuck, feeling frustrated, and could be experiencing anxiety, grieving, having interpersonal relationship struggles, and using ineffective coping skills. We find the parts of ourselves that need healing to lead us to a better quality of life. I work with all races, sexual orientations, and genders. A favorite quote that I relate to therapy is, "Be messy and complicated and afraid and show up anyway."

We are all very capable of being happy. Sometimes loss, our environment or trauma can impact us to the point where we are no longer healthy or happy. I believe that we can be the healthiest version of ourselves with unconditional support. I love to empower my clients and give them the tools to improve their quality of life. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families coping with a variety of issues. My passion is seeing people find their own potential and realize they are the masters of their own change, healing and happiness. I practice from a belief that often people become stuck in overwhelming problems from their past; current life stressors; or fears of the future and change. My goal is to help you move forward and be able to have new skills to take with you to apply as needed as you move on with your life.

Kimberly specializes in numerous mental health issues, including: Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, PTSD, Anger Issues, Relationship issues, and Personality and Behavior Disorders. Over the years, Kimberly has gained expertise with several specialty areas and populations in mental health, including co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed/ gender-responsive treatment, and has significant experience working with diverse populations. Kimberly also has expertise working with clients with substance abuse struggles and is a Registered Dual Disorder Professional (RDDP).

My approach to therapy is not always your traditional approach. I utilize many evidence-based therapy modalities while also making our time together interesting and fun. Many times deep healing work can occur without even realizing it. You may find yourself feeling an array of emotions from crying to laughing as we work together. I believe that there is deep healing power in laughter.

Our life's work is helping clients achieve a better sense of self and happiness...more recently we've recognized that without good mental health providers, finding this balance in life can be more difficult and stressful. As a result, we tend toward an Integrative approach and help our clients transform into the people they want to be. We see each client as an individual with many parts to their identity. Utilizing a holistic and systemic approach we help clients reintegrate the parts of themselves to function better as individuals and within their systems. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults/couples and seniors who come in with a variety of concerns such as: cancer diagnosis, social isolation, depression, anxiety, grief, anger, infidelity, cutting, suicidal ideations, and feelings of being overwhelmed. I am extremely knowledgeable in adolescent development. I believe in establishing a strong connection with my clients in order to be successful. I use a very personable and direct communication style that allows my clients to gain self-awareness, confront denial, improve irrational thinking, and establish coping skills to encourage healthy change.
