I recognize the uniqueness of each person, couple, adolescent, and family. It is my goal to provide a safe and nurturing environment where one’s true self is free to be expressed. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship which can be curative in itself, which is why it is important to me to bring my most genuine self in order to have an authentic experience in session with my clients. Once the foundation has been set, I build on that relationship and incorporate counseling skills and techniques to gently guide and challenge my clients to help them to meet their therapeutic goals.
I help my clients uncover blocks in their lives and support them as they attempt to make changes which I recognize takes a tremendous amount of courage.Therapy looks different based on what my clients hope to achieve from our time together and flexibility is key as it is important to me to use a variety of interventions to adapt my approach to best help you.
I have experienced my fair share of trauma, & I have seen firsthand how relationships can hurt but also how they can heal evident by my own experience in therapy.
