Announcement icon JFHS is providing telehealth services. We will schedule on-line counseling sessions with our clients during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Every decision starts with the decision to try. I chose to work in the field of counseling because I am truly satisfied when I am helping others. I work with clients to explore how unresolved issues from the past impact the present. The decision to seek individual therapy can be uncomfortable, but rewarding. The therapeutic process is a unique and collaborative process, in which you are the expert of your experience. When one accepts and validates the therapeutic relationship, it will become a key element in the healing of old wounds and the opening of new possibilities in which will lead to greater personal insight and change.
My specialties include the followings: Substance Abuse Treatment, Individual, Couples, Group, and Family Therapy. Domestic Violence, Career and Educational Counseling, Parenting Techniques, Anger Management, Depression, PTSD, Self-Esteem, Anxiety, HIV/AIDS, Relationship Building, Eating Disorders and Christian Counseling.
We are excepting New Clients. We provide services at the office, in the home, and on-line. Due to COVID-19, we are conducting therapy sessions on-line.

Jones Family Health Services's Groups

Substance Abuse Group

The Substance Abuse Group provides a support system for people with drug and alcohol problems. Some participants may be court-ordered and others are self-referred who are seeking treatment to end their addiction and other behavioral issues. Addiction groups teach individuals how to modify their behaviors with the intention of full recovery. Addiction groups are beneficial because clients are susceptible to relapses. Therefore, substance abuse counselors will work with clients on an on-going basis.

Anger Managment Group

The goal of the anger management groups are to assist clients with learning how to manage their anger effectively and to begin the process of understanding and eventually resolving the emotional issues underlying the client's anger. This group will consist of Psychosocial Skills Learning, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Group Psychotherapy. Psychotherapy involves talking to the clients about their problems with counselors who will help them to explore the causes of their anger and ways to manage. The client will identify stressors and steps to help them to stay calm in anger situations so they can handle tense situations in a constructive, positive manner.
