I am honored to serve anyone struggling with any type of trauma/PTSD, addiction, depression, or anxiety who wants life to be a little different. Total healing IS possible! I have a passion for non-judgemental connection with people who are nervous about being vulnerable, don’t want therapy, or have had a bad experience in the past. It can be fun and is worth the work! I like to partner with you to discover your strengths and help you reach YOUR goals. My ideal client is someone who has a good sense of humor, a desire for change, an open mind, ok w/an occassional bad word (or two), and MUST love dogs. I do animal assisted therapy.

I feel incredibly fortunate to help my clients find the freedom to live a life of their choosing, improve their relationship with self and others, and find peace. I use brain-based therapies proven to uncover and address issues that talk therapy can take years to heal. In doing so I help children, teens and adults overcome challenges that keep them stuck in negative patterns. Often traumas are at the root of these negative patterns. My expertise lies in guiding you through some of your most difficult life transitions and in helping you to reach and to honor your fullest potential. I have experience treating addiction and substance use disorders, anxiety and depression, domestic violence (both perpetrator and victim), other relationship issues, and issues around self-esteem. Therapy is a process of inner healing and deep commitment to cultivating growth within yourself. In what ways do you need to be supported in order to grow into something more authentically you? In counseling, my passion is to offer support to mothers and parents of any gender in the perinatal period (including trying to conceive, pregnancy & pregnancy challenges/loss, birth & birth loss, postpartum and early parenthood), as well as to those healing from trauma, and exploring aspects of any identity you hold (around sexuality, race, gender, class, ability, etc) that need compassionate witnessing and support. I have worked as a certified domestic violence counselor, and am trained in EMDR through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. I bring these skills to support our work together.
