I offer an eclectic treatment modality that may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), attachment theory, and narrative therapy as well as a holistic and humanistic approach. CBT addresses how our thoughts dictate our behaviors and how to change the thought processes. DBT addresses emotional regulation with deep ties to mindfulness and skill building to learn to regulate emotions. Attachment theory is geared towards assisting the client in understanding their attachment style and building skills to form more healthy or meaningful relationships.

Parenting a young child is challenging, but it is so much more difficult when your child is oppositional, defiant, and/or aggressive. Many parents blame themselves, feel isolated, and are unsure of what to do. You can be the solution, though! Through a unique approach called Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), I coach parents and guardians in developing the necessary tools for promoting a healthy relationship with their children based on mutual love and respect. In return, children feel more secure and are less interested in testing boundaries. PCIT has strong scientific support and is highly effective in person or online!
