Welcome to CIP… We are here to help. Founded in 1977, CIP has provided quality, affordable mental health services to individuals, families, and couples for more than 40 years. We offer a full range of services designed to meet a variety of needs, including long-term depth psychology as well as short-term counseling, therapy groups, and psychological testing. We work with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, co-occurring disorders, addictions, and in-depth work with clients with axis II disorders. CIP is a welcoming place, attentive to the needs of our diverse community.

I seek to provide a thoughtful and reflective setting where clients develop greater understanding of their problems and limitations through honest exploration of themselves, and to bolster strengths/foster growth. I provide a friendly and open atmosphere to invite sharing of whatever thought or feeling that comes up so that they can be explored, analyzed and ultimately changed if you want. I work in a collaborative way and do not necessarily see my role as an advice giver, but as a thoughtful companion in helping you find your own solutions and understanding. I use a flexible blend of clinical techniques and theories.

Welcome! Licensed in both California and Maine, I am currently accepting new clients during these challenging times. I bring over 25 years of experience helping individuals, couples, families, and religious and spiritual organizations to heal and thrive. My experience spans a wide range of issues including: trauma, anxiety, depression, psychopathology, relationship challenges, grief and loss, vocational coaching, body and aging. I love to use psychological tools in conjunction with spiritual practices like yoga and meditation. I work via telehealth in California and Maine, and in-person in Portland, ME. I do not accept insurance.
