Many challenges we experience in daily life relate to conflict between parts of ourselves. Each part reflects our body’s own loving attempts to care for us in the ways it knows. When we shift one part of the feedback loop, the whole system rearranges - in our bodies, & in our relationships. My approach to individual & couples therapy is holistic, somatic & client-centered. I start with creating a non-judgmental, inclusive space for you to come as you are. As we form & reach for your goals, our work may include movement, developmental psychology, trauma work, regulation practices, behavior/communication coaching, & creative guidance.

I respect the courage it takes to begin psychotherapy and choose the path of healing. Most important is the building of trust. My presence is kind and authentic, with healthy boundaries. An experienced Individual and Couples therapist, I teach relational skill-building, personally and inter-personally. I'm comfortable with all kinds of trauma, relationship difficulties, major life transitions, addiction, loss & grief, spiritual, medical or psychiatric issues. I encourage clients to identify and move closer to what is really important in their lives. I've witnessed lasting change as clients become more secure, creative & alive.

I believe beginning therapy takes courage and I have the utmost respect for anyone taking that risk. I strive to create a warm space of acceptance for wherever you may be in your journey. For as long as I can remember I've been interested in people's stories. It's not surprising that I ended up doing the work I do. As a therapist, I listen to a person and help them make sense of both their struggles and their strengths. I help my clients find meaning in their experience and move forward to create new stories about themselves and the world around them.

Therapy is about how you can feel better, how to make your life rich and satisfying. What is in your way? What stops you from being the person you want to be, from living the life you want to live? I see people of all ages, in all walks of life and help them overcome obstacles to acheiving their goals, whether that be happiness and peace or something concrete. Often it is inner blocks like anxiety and depression, that stand in your way. Other times there are experiences you've had that make it hard to feel free. Therapy can help you sort it all out, and take positive steps towards a new start.

I work with clients ages 13 and older, individuals and families. Primarily, I work with clients experiencing issues with anxiety, social anxiety, depression, self-harm, identity development, parenting issues, parent/child relationships, alcohol/drug abuse by teens and adults, recovery and rehab issues and reestablishment in the family, codependence (and family members affected by ones substance use), bipolar disorder, ADHD, self-esteem, relationship issues, supporting medication management, as well as many other concerns.

I successfully treat relationship breakdowns, alcohol, drug, eating problems, depression, dual-diagnosis, anxiety, trauma, bariatric surgery patients. Individuals and couples address how the misuse of substances impacts their lives in negative and unproductive ways. We seek solutions together to more satisfying lifestyles and relationships. I work with couples and individuals having difficulties in relationships, wanting to resolve problems rather than separating or divorcing as their only solution. I work to separate past hurts from present reality. As an Equine Therapist, I use horses and exotic farm animals as requested.

I have a passion for helping children, teens, and young adults grow their skills and confidence so they can live a life where they feel they can thrive. I love working with youth and young adults who are struggling with trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety and/or their sense of self-worth. I exclusively provide tele-therapy (think FaceTime) for people who reside in California.
