For over thirty years, I have provided understanding and relief to people who have come to me in emotional distress and psychological pain. I offer psychotherapeutic help with warmth, patience, skill, and an open mind as has long been my depth-oriented approach. Psychological distress points us toward the landscape of our private vulnerabilities and emotional injuries, but also toward pathways toward restoration and healing. I invite you to listen to these internal communications with me, to learn from them, and to discover ways to translate them into guideposts for change toward greater balance, confidence, and contentment.
I work with people experiencing problems that present themselves with depression, anxiety, malaise, or relationship difficulties, who have experienced difficult life transitions, loss, disruptions, constrictions or impasses in relationships or in functioning well in the world, or who seek support when meaning or purpose have become elusive or lost from view.
I have provided outpatient and inpatient psychotherapeutic services since 1981 and have served clients in independent practice since 1992. My approach is guided creatively by Jungian and depth-oriented perspectives. I believe that trust, safety, and integrity are vital for psychotherapy, and that in the heart of emotional pain lie the seeds of healing.
