Often seeking acceptance from the others even though you know it may not happen. The struggle one has towards being accepted by family/others in order to feel as if you are good enough can often feel unbearable or never ending. Survivors of past damaged relations can make one feel as if you have no worth or value & leave you struggling to identify your worth & seek approval from others. You are not alone in these thoughts & feelings.

I use a depth psychotherapy, DBT, Humanistic, empathetic, Self-Psychology style of counseling to empower you to reach your desired emotional, psychological and spiritual growth/development. I treat individuals, families, youth, couples, adults and LGBTQ+. I often work with people of diverse backgrounds, offering sensitivity and understanding for the complexity of the human experience. Grief and loss, identity, anxiety, depression, personality and mood disorders, gender diversity and relational issues are just some of the areas in which I am skilled at holding space for you to grow at a pace that is most comfortable.

My approach to therapy focuses on healing, connection, and emotional insight to allow individuals, couples, and families to reach their goals and improve their lives. I utilize different treatment modalities like EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy and TRM to bring you the best treatment for your personalized needs. I have a background in a number of disciplines and have successfully treated clients using Hypnotherapy, Gestalt Therapy, Voice Dialogue and Art Therapy. I also incorporate the basic principles of Zen-Buddhism, which I have studied and practiced for a number of years. Being an ex-addict, I'm comfortable with the addictive personality and I have a comprehensive knowledge of the 12-step programs. I have experience coordinating with social workers and psychiatrists. While interning I worked at an adolescent group home which proves useful in treating children and adolescents.
