In my practice, I have the opportunity to help many clients with a variety of needs. I have worked with people as young as nine and have been fortunate enough to work with couples well into their fifties and individuals in their seventies. My clients have had concerns ranging from learning how to better function in relationships to recovering from trauma. My goal is always to move people to a place where they become equipped to better deal with life's struggles by equipping them with skills needed to face challenges.

I have Bachelor’s in both English Literature and Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and earned Master’s in both Clinical Community Counseling and School Counseling at University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, where I now moonlight as an adjunct professor of Family Counseling for their graduate program. I have been practicing for 14 years, specializing in CBT, music therapy, art therapy, play therapy, family therapy, individual therapy, and alternative therapies. I enjoy working with all ages and backgrounds.

It would be unfair to say we have all successfully moved on from COVID. Unfortunately, our society continues to address economic and social stressors that stem from COVID. Even non-traditional therapy clients are encountering high levels of suffering from burn-out, stress, anxiety, low daily satisfaction, couples conflict, and the like. My passion resides in providing a warm, comfortable environment where you can truly be yourself. I integrate different theoretical models throughout practice. I have experience with diverse populations, including clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, sexual behavior problems, stress management, self-esteem, various traumatic experiences, depression, and anxiety disorders. My goal is to help ease your most challenging emotions while addressing patterns and experiences that keep you feeling powerless in your life.

Darrin is a licensed associate professional counselor under supervision trained to work with men, women, adolescents, couples and groups requiring professional help. He realizes that life produces internal storm damages occurring far too often without any damage control or prevention. The causes of moodiness, irritability, restlessness, discontentment, fear, doubt, uncertainty, anger, depression, anxiety, insomnia and addiction all have one thing in common - a lack of holistic wellness. Recovery from the internal/external effects of untreated mental and emotional damages is what he will introduce you to.
