"Thank you for taking a closer look. There are many qualified therapists from whom to choose, making it important to find a person who feels right for you. I know part of what makes the relationship work is when my clients feel heard and understood. My clients often present with a variety of issues including relationship issues, anger, depression, anxiety, and/or problems with unhealthy substance use/abuse. When we focus on increasing function often my clients find their lives to be more workable. Please send me an email or give a call so we can discuss how working together can make you or your child's life better. "

"Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and overly emotional? Trying to "fix" things on your own without success? Untreated, these feelings often lead to anxiety, depression, family conflict and increase stress; this prevents you from living your life to the fullest. Coping during stressful times requires talking to a compassionate professional who will treat you with dignity and respect. The goal of therapy is for each person to reach their highest potential in all areas of their lives. I treat children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing various emotional and psychological symptoms."

"Life starts to beat us down and burn us out. We find ourselves frustrated, irritated, and confused how to move forward. Friends and family that we relied on have run out of energy for us. We can't help it, but we're pushing them away. How can we overcome this struggle without losing those closest to us, without losing ourselves? The stress of life: work, school, family and this world at large can sometimes feel overwhelimg, leading to anxiety, mood and relationship problems or drinking and smoking too much."

"Since you’re looking for a therapist, my best guess is that you’re tired of your current level of suffering. Entertainment, diversions, substances, processes, and relationships don’t stop you from suffering. Neither do self-help books, one-day seminars, or promises of instant ‘cure-alls.’ For real help, there needs to be an axe laid to the root of what causes you suffering: false beliefs, and ideas about: yourself, others, and the future. You’re taught to believe that you have a permanent identity (called the ego), and that if you pursue its desires and avoid its aversions, you’ll be happy. How has that worked for you so far? In my transpersonal therapy practice, I work to lay bare the roots of the ego, and to show clients there is a different way to live. You can live a mindful, present-oriented life, where unnecessary suffering is gradually banished permanently. This includes any suffering due to depression, anxiety, and past painful experiences. I work with individuals age 23 plus, and offer weekly Stress Reduction Groups (see Groups for details). I also do brainstorming with business owners on how to improve business relationships."

I won’t make you feel like there is something wrong with you, I won’t shame you, and I won’t expect you to know all the answers. I will be passionate, open, and honest with you, and you’ll quickly turn into the author for your own successful story."

"Moods or anxiety can feel overwhelming, and cause problems in personal relationships, work, or social life. Anger or anxiety can bubble up or creep in without a clear reason. At times emotional changes can feel like a roller coaster. For many, there are things they've never told anyone, but that linger in their mind. For some people, these issues have come up recently, and others have been grappling for a lifetime. Does any or all of this seem to apply to you or someone close to you? Need to talk about it?"

"I have had the experience of working with individuals, couples and families for over 30 years. I specialize in Imago RelationshipTherappy. Imago Therapy is a unique approach to helping couples develop a conscious relationship. I think that couples' therapy should be more that just a place to vent your frustrations about each other. I provide a safe, structured format to learn specific communication skills. I want to give you tools that you can begin to put into practice the minute you step outside my office. Many couples say that learning these skills has given them their first glimmer of hope."

"The decision to start psychotherapy can be a very emotional--even scary--endeavor. I am sensitive to the many concerns people have about psychotherapy and offer a non-intimidating, supportive, and empowering environment for self-exploration. In particular, I encourage patients to become more active participants in their own lives and to create opportunities for themselves that lead to permanent, life enhancing change. Psychotherapy is a challenging but rewarding process. Take your time to find a therapist who feels like the right match for you, and please congratulate yourself for taking this first step toward examining and enriching your life."

"My approach is "client-centered" believing that everyone seeks to fulfill their potential and live the best possible life. I am engaged and interactive in my style. I help my clients gain insight and understanding into their current situation and I help them to tap into their own internal resources. I believe it is important to recognize that in order to heal we must consider all aspects of an individual, mind, body, and spirit. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I also offer Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy."

"It is said that the most important factor for growth and change in therapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist. My style as a clinician is warm and welcoming. My philosophy is to let the client show me what he/she needs, and to move slowly and mindfully in a spirit of partnership. I believe when I listen closely and carefully to what someone shares, they will tell me where it hurts, and together we discover how to transform the pain into a life of joy, peacefulness, and wellbeing. ."

"Finding a caring, dedicated therapist to help you with your psychological or physical difficulties is important. One who is also experienced, skilled and knowledgeable is even more beneficial to your success. Your time and energy are valuable, and I avoid dwelling on directionless talk; focusing, instead, on developing effective actions and solutions. My sessions are two hours as I have found that to be more effective than a single hour. In helping you I draw on a wide range of rich, creative therapeutic approaches, including behavioral and cognitive therapies, hypnosis, EMDR, as well as methods derived from other healing practices."
