I can help you explore those challenges and find the best way for you to address them. Are you at a crossroads in your journey, feeling that there must be more in life for you to experience? I've been helping clients with these and other concerns for over 35 years. I can help with anxiety, depression, gender and sexuality issues, health concerns, and grief and loss. Your sessions with me will be at least a full 60 minutes; I just don't believe in the "50 minute hour!" My education and experience as a registered nurse and psychotherapist allows me to provide you with an integrated and holistic approach to whatever you are experiencing in your life. Our emotions and mental status are always intertwined with our physical health and need to be approached as a whole. I also believe that we are more than our mind/body selves. There are aspects to our lives that cannot be explained by traditional studies, and these need to be acknowledged, too.

My passion is working with clients that have been in therapy before and don't believe it will help, struggle to trust others, and are generally resistant to services. I also am Level II trained in Gottman Couple's Therapy and knowledgeable around EFT (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy). I have a passion for working with trauma and attachment and have advanced training in EMDR. I am also a Licensed Addictions Counselor. I come from a strength based perspective that believes any one can succeed no matter their struggles. We all go through times of sef-doubt, depression and anxiety. Life change can amplify these. I believe all feelings are valid, because we are feeling them. What we think about them can create a harmful or helpful situation. Being very present creates calm as we are in the situation as it happens rather than in the past or future thinking about what we did or will do. This practice strengthens relationships as well as offers personal insight and growth. My job as the therapist is to allow my clients a place to explore the space in their heads. I help clients accept and understand their emotions creating new behavior patterns.

Hello. I'd like to introduce myself and tell you a bit about my background. I have a deeply held passion for helping people transform their lives. My expertise is in the areas of sexual trauma and abuse, eating disorders, and marriage and family counseling. My preparation and education includes advanced training in sexual trauma, complex trauma, and sexual addiction through Masters and Johnson. As an affiliate faculty member at Regis University and former Assistant Professor at Colorado Christian University, I have also taught graduate courses in each of these fields.
