Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been proven to demonstrate reduction in stress, anxiety, self-harm, depression, anger and panic attack. Dialectical Behavioral therapy can also help manage emotions, increase awareness, and distress tolerance. In addition, the Emotionally Focused couples therapy along Gottman's research provides proven, effective and practical help.
My counseling training from Dallas Theological Seminary gives me an understanding of the significant role one's faith & values have on decisions regarding work, marriage and parenting. For those who desire Christian counseling, my approach taps into a person's faith to promote healing and address shame, anxiety, and guilt.

DBT or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy group is for the teen struggling with coping with managing the ups and downs of their emotional states. How you manage your own emotions impacts how your ability to tolerate distress or manage relationships with others including parents and friends. This setting provides a safe place for teens to learn the skills, and then go out and practice them through the week. Rebecca Wong, LPC and Lonnie Mullet, LPC both enjoy working with teenagers and look forward to meeting the new group members.
