I view it challenging and beneficial to work broadly within the helping profession, some specialties of interest include Substance Use Disorders, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, mood disorders (Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorders), self injurious behaviors, and issues unique to the LGBTQ+ community.
All of us enter into our own unique journey in life, and while on this journey, we experience a multitude of emotions. Sometimes these feelings are overwhelmingly difficult to process, express, and navigate. And oftentimes we don't want to feel these emotions at all, which may manifest itself through self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. I am here to provide a comforting and nonjudgmental space for people to work through, not around, parts of the journey that are distressing and painful. I utilize an eclectic combination of well researched therapeutic techniques and, at times, less traditional approaches when helping others.

Individuals are often given advice by those who have not taken the time or had the ability to understand the issue. My goal in therapy is to understand the concerns and challenges from your perspective. Only after a relationship based on trust, empathy, understanding, and at times even humor, has been built, can I help you achieve your goals. Everyone deserves individually tailored treatment. Bipolar Disorder Therapists
Therapy helps treat bipolar disorder through many different pathways. Therapy offers psychoeducation to improve medication compliance, skills to cope with the challenges of living with the condition, lifestyle remedies, connection to loved ones for greater support, and immediate help for crises that might trigger a manic or depressive episode. Patients come to treatment with different goals, so a therapist should encourage patients to share those goals and work collaboratively to find the right approach.

If you're looking for a Minneapolis bipolar disorder therapist, these professionals provide bipolar disorder therapy and counseling in Minneapolis.
