Reaching out to a new therapist can be anxiety provoking for both new and seasoned patients alike. It is my goal to facilitate the process of starting therapy by providing an inviting environment and having an approach that is empathic and active. After identifying and discussing your therapeutic goals and needs, together we'll decide if we make a good team to tackle them collaboratively, which I strongly believe is a key element to a successful treatment.
My therapeutic orientation is psychodynamic, which involves investigating how past relationships and experiences have contributed to current conflicts and interpersonal patterns. I actively guide patients through the therapeutic process, providing coping strategies and helping them access their intuition and personal strengths.
This approach helps my patients gain a deeper understanding of how they are hindering themselves from obtaining greater satisfaction in their relationships with others and themselves. Ultimately, I strive to help my patients achieve greater insight, effect lasting change, and develop the ability to face future obstacles with greater confidence.
