I have almost 40 years experience helping people make healthy, positive transitions in their lives. Although I have worked most with people suffering from addictions and their families, I also specialize in CBT for Insomnia. I focus on addressing personal issues and on enhancing a sense of personal well-being, overcoming anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma or other emotional issues. In addition, I provide Recovery Coaching services for people who feel that they need more than a support group. Recovery Coaching is provided on a retainer basis.
My specialty is helping people create more fulfilling lives. My focus is client-centered and cognitive-behavioral, putting you, the client, in the center of the process. I emphasize your strengths and use your own expertise in yourself, and mine of how others have made positive changes, to help you move toward the life you desire. Your goals are my goals.
I utilize collaborative techniques such as motivational interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and CBT for Insomnia that have been shown over and over again by research to be effective at helping clients move to a healthier place based on more effectively utilizing their own strengths.
