I am a licensed pediatric psychologist who specializes in pediatric and health psychology. I provide assessment and therapy for children, adolescents, and families coping with acute and chronic medical conditions, injuries, and related emotional, and behavioral disorders. I take a skills-based approach to help individuals and families learn strategies to improve functioning and well-being. I work to optimize physical, behavioral, emotional, and social health to make living with medical conditions easier and treat co-occurring stress, anxiety, mood, and behavioral sequelae.
I provide assessment and psychotherapy to children, adolescents and young adults with acute and chronic medical conditions such as: chronic pain, psychosomatic symptoms, concussions, gastrointestinal disorders, ehlers danlos syndrome, POTS, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, sleep problems, anxiety, depression, family conflict, adherence difficulties.
I have worked in various medical settings having held faculty positions and leadership roles. My goal is to fill the gap in pediatric healthcare services and work in coordination with patients, families, school staff and medical providers to address the psychological impact of illness/injury and promote health-related behaviors.
