I am a solutions-focused therapist who stresses that therapy does not have to be grueling. Think of it as being on an adventure, it can be hard work but there can be fun and laughter along the way. I utilize an honest, open, skill building approach to therapy. For those wanting to gain a deeper understanding of self, I also enjoy offering the opportunity to explore a spiritual and psychoanalytical perspective. In addition to counseling, I provide life coaching services which offer in the moment solutions for those needing support problem solving and skill building in a specific area.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Yoga, Life Skills and Trauma-Informed Care. Having lived abroad, I also specialize in counseling Expats, and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, and can assist with challenges associated with cross-cultural living and repatriation.
