I work with Adults and Teens. I am dually licensed to assist with issues dealing in Mental Health, as well as Substance Abuse. I also help people dealing with issues with improving family interaction, copings skills and making life style changes
My theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral. I believe the way you think, the way you feel and the way you behave are all connected. I believe my job is to hold up a mirror and ask what the client sees, based on the things going on in their life. If the client likes something it doesn't get addressed. If they don't like it then we try to change it.
Mental health is just as important as physical health. If you aren't well physically you go to the doctor. Seeing a therapist is no different.
