The relationship I develop with both individuals and partners seeks to prioritize and build value around your own unique identity, as well as your singular and/or cultural understanding of wellness, safety, trust, and strength. Together we will explore the intersections of mind, body, community, and spirit to find new ways of being in the world that foster a lively and meaningful life. I consider you to be the expert of the meaning you pursue, and I value time spent letting you in on the “secret” of the therapeutic process so we can bend it to your individual need. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, as well as polyamory and kink affirming.
My work holds a strong focus on the body. I will help you develop an awareness of your distinct nervous system—what helps you stay in a process of connection and growth vs. what causes feelings of insecurity, disorientation and distrust. Depending on need, my approach varies from talk therapy and writing to breath-work and movement.
Additionally, I can apply my experience as a voice teacher to your struggle with stage fright or resistance to speaking out. This work could include in-depth education about the anatomy of breath and voice, vocal exercises, and identifying habits or memories that have kept you from accessing your voice as an orienting point for identity and stability.
