Although I have worked successfully with many different kinds of people, I have developed specialties in three areas: gay adolescents and adults, people who have experienced trauma, and those who wish to incorporate mindfulness, spiritual practice and ritual into their daily lives.
I have had good success treating trauma using a combination of EMDR and psychodynamic therapy. I'm referring to both life-altering events, like a major accident or loss of a loved one or abuse of some sort, as well as those seemingly less significant but still wounding moments that stay with us over time.
