Young adulthood is an exciting time, but it can also be an overwhelming experience. Many young adults experience social anxiety as they focus on new friendships and dating. Others stress about surviving college or committing to a career path. Faith issues become a source of concern for some. For those who are married or in a relationship, connecting with another person emotionally and intimately can be a struggle. Creating a new identity as a young adult can also reawaken old problems from past abuse/traumas, depression, self-damaging behaviors, and scrupulosity/OCD.
Drawing from psychodynamic, humanistic, CBT, and systemic therapies, I help individuals and couples understand how past and current relationships and experiences contribute to their emotional struggles. Together we will create strategies and a vision for your life that leads to happier living, better relationships, clarity of mind, and personal peace.
My primary goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental, supportive space where you can explore your life, strengthen your guiding values, and move forward in achieving your goals. Your therapy should be as unique to you as your story. You are the expert of your life. I am an expert in the practice of therapy. Let’s work together and create your best life!
