As a cancer survivor myself, I know first hand how scary the "C" word is. As a result of cancer treatments, often times people develop mild to severe forms of depression, anxiety, "scanxiety," and post-traumatic stress disorder. Many people experience symptoms during treatment while others are symptomatic only after they are in full remission. My practice treats fellow warriors and their families that are navigating the cancer process, survivors trying to figure out their “new normal”, individuals in remission for years but are still processing the events that once happened, and those currently experiencing metastasized cancers.
Psychotherapy services are for individuals, couples and families experiencing the effects of cancer or chronic illness. I offer a supportive environment where we explore the effects of cancer in all areas of life. I also support caregivers who are navigating the cancer process along side their loved one.
If you are experiencing cancer related depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress you are not alone. Together we can help you to recover motivation, perspective, and gain a sense of empowerment that will enable you to live your "new normal."
