Are your relationships full of conflict and disconnection? Does stress throw you into crisis? Do you worry about your child making and keeping friends? I'm dedicated to helping my clients conquer these, and many other issues. In addition to traditional office-based psychotherapy, I shifted in 2009 "from the office to the pasture" to specialize in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. In partnering with horses, I observe profound shifts in relationships, communication, confidence, and emotional regulation. The Equine work is "grounded", so no horsemanship background is required.
My passion is working with people to help them "Experience a Stable Relationship". I especially enjoy reconnecting children, families, and spouses toward healthy, fun relationships. Old patterns can create roadblocks to our success. I empower people to remove those roadblocks, promoting interpersonal trust, respect and love.
Brookside Ranch is a beautiful, 5 acre ranch just south of Houston. Partnering with the herd, Brookside Ranch offers a place for healing, personal growth, and self discovery. I am certified through Natural Lifemanship to provide Trauma Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (TF-EAP). I am a Certified Daring Way Facilitator and trained in Brainspotting.

Horses can influence people in powerful ways. Developing relationships with and caring for horses has positive consequences. Horses naturally provide benefits of work ethic, responsibility, assertiveness, communication, and healthy relationships; building confidence and leadership skills. "Why horses?" Horses are large and powerful, which creates a natural opportunity to overcome fear and develop confidence. The size and power of the horse are naturally intimidating to many people. Being active with the horse, in spite of those fears, creates confidence and provides experiential learning for dealing with other intimidating and challenging situations in life.
