Often, there is a point in life where we are unhappy with the status quo: our relationships are confusing and don’t satisfy; conflict seems inevitable and we aren’t functioning to our God-given potential. Perhaps that is why you are here, searching for a therapist. I understand that it is scary to start therapy but I will do my best to make you feel safe and comfortable. My approach is pretty simple. Most us of have patterns of thought and assumptions that were instilled in us as children, patterns that we don’t know how to change. Beneath that, lies the paralyzing fear that we can’t change.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Texas #67954 and a graduate of Southern Methodist University, having earned a BS in Psychology and Master of Science in Counseling. I also studied theology at Redeemer Seminary (Reformed Theological Seminary) in Dallas. I was formerly Assistant Chaplain at SMU in Dallas where I worked for over 20 years.
I know that sometimes life is a struggle. As a therapist, I believe we all are able to change our beliefs and behaviors and enjoy better relationships, careers and more satisfying family dynamics.
