I enjoy doing several types of therapy (individual, couples, family, EMDR) for many different issues (stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, divorce, blended families, grief, relationship stresses, infidelity, attachment style issues). I am trauma informed and. I help people get beyond the stuck points in their lives or their relationships, by identifying what is blocking them, discovering the source of this blockage and working together to remove it and/or lessen its effects on them. I aim to help people live more fulfilled lives, be better partners, better parents, and to learn to communicate more effectively.
I select strategies according to what I think best addresses the need of the person I am working with. Often people come to me saying they have insight into their issues, but can not seem to make necessary changes. I enjoy helping people past these stuck points in their lives. I provide both short term and long term solutions by getting to the root cause.
I completed an internship and a two year post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School training hospitals in Boston. I was a staff psychologist at McLean Hospital and a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School. I have been a licensed psychologist since 1991. I am EMDR certified. I am licensed in AZ and CA and can provide telehealth to most states.
