Dr. Yemi Adeyiga is a licensed health service psychologist with extensive training and experience in psychological assessment and mental health treatment across a variety of clinical, forensic, and rehabilitative settings. He earned his Doctorate in Psychology from Oklahoma State University, where he developed a strong foundation in evidence-based assessment and intervention, with particular emphasis on health service psychology.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Yemi has received specialized training in inpatient psychiatric care, forensic psychology, correctional mental health, and psychosocial rehabilitation.
He has worked in both public and private sectors, serving children, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. His clinical approach is deeply informed by a commitment to culturally responsive care and a nuanced understanding of how systemic factors and racial trauma influence mental health outcomes.
Prior to establishing Betterway Psychiatry and Psychological Services alongside with his wife, Dr. Yemi served as the Chief Psychologist for the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs. In this leadership role, he was responsible for the oversight of psychological services for justice-involved youth, guiding clinical practices, supervising mental health staff.
