Everyone has a unique story to tell. Sometimes the story is full of joy and laughter and sometimes it has challenges and heartbreak. For most of us, it falls somewhere in between. By taking the time to share and understand your story, you are given the opportunity to understand how your past shapes your current existence and how past relationships inevitably impact current ones. By understanding and owning your story, you give yourself the opportunity to choose how you want to go forward. One's past does not have to define one's future.
I consider it an honor to walk alongside another and help them reclaim their story. I have worked with adolescents and adults for over 20 years and have had the privilege of witnessing individuals overcome trauma, anxiety, and depression, among other issues and embrace a future they weren't sure was possible.
My background is in Psychodynamic and Attachment theory but I have completed Internal Family Systems level 1 training and believe it is highly effective in most therapeutic situations. I work with adults who are dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, and am a domestic violence victims advocate.
