About
With over twelve years as a practicing therapist, I am currently licensed in Tennessee and Colorado. I have helped clients: improve anxiety levels, self esteem, depression, relational issues, phobias, lack of a sense of life direction, sleep, and more. Through teaching skills such as noticing and being with sensations, feelings, and thoughts, clients are able to notice the patterns that get us stuck. Those with trauma see reductions in their PTSD symptoms, often using EMDR.
I use Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement and Desensitization (EMDR), and CBT. I have been practicing mindfulness for 25 years; I completed 10 intensive mindfulness courses in Nepal, India, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and USA during the seven years I spent traveling abroad before becoming a therapist.
I tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, I will help you recognize and learn about underlying problems, acquire coping skills to adjust certain behaviors and thoughts, and use evidence-based mindfulness techniques to improve your relationships and quality of life.
