I am a Certified EMDR Therapist who uses EMDR and other proven techniques, to help clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, chronic illness, chronic pain, medical trauma, difficult childhood experiences, attachment issues, and dissociation. EMDR based therapy for chronic pain is effective in many cases of low back pain, migraine, fibromyalgia, neuropathy, whiplash, irritable bowel syndrome, and sexual pain disorder. Other types of pain may respond favorably, as well. As a result of our work together you should have a clearer view of yourself, feel calmer, more positive, be able to make better life decisions, and experience improved quality of life.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress. EMDR works by activating the sensing, feeling and thinking functions of the brain to integrate memories and experience in a healing adaptation of the client's previous understanding.
Before becoming a therapist I gained over 30 years of healthcare experience as a Registered Nurse, deepening my understanding of the interplay between emotions and the body. This knowledge is helpful in cases of medical trauma, chronic illness and pain. I am licensed by the Ohio CSWMFT Board and am a Certified EMDR Therapist.
