In therapy, I enjoy helping kids and adults try a new approach of care and healing that targets both emotional processing and regulating the nervous system. I partner with parents to help their child improve anxiety, process life transitions, and overcome various behavioral issues. With adults, I help with trauma healing, anxiety, and relational roadblocks such as people-pleasing, social anxiety and codependency. Other areas I focus on include family of origin issues and OCD. I've also had the unique opportunity to help families find their new normal after life-altering tragedies including catastrophic loss.
My approach to therapy is rooted in attachment theory and neurobiology. In working with young children, I use Child-Centered Play Therapy, and integrate skills from EMDR and IFS to build emotional regulation. With adults engaging in talk therapy, I often utilize EMDR and IFS to assist in processing trauma, anxiety, and dysfunctional relational patterns.
