As a former high school teacher, I have been working with adolescents and young adults as they deal with life transitions. Since then my clinical experience includes working with people of ages. I have experience with various diagnoses and life stages. I value building rapport and strong relationships with clients. I work to build this rapport through meeting clients where they are, listening non-judgementally, and developing goals together. Whether you are dealing with depression, anxiety, or just life being life, I am here to help. I also do work with couples and am trained in the Level 1 of the Gottman Method .
I use a skill-based approach to help clients learn and grow in their emotional wellness. I also incorporate a lot of mindfulness as clients learn to name and express their emotions. I also love exploring spirituality (regardless of belief system) to overcome religious trauma, especially that caused by purity culture.
