Welcome to Light & Life Counseling. It takes a great deal of courage to reach out and ask for some help in managing the ups and downs of life and relationships. We often get stuck in the mire of negative thinking and communicating with others. Getting unstuck and out of the darkness is different for everyone. Maybe it is coming out of an addiction or finally communicating well with your partner. Maybe it is being able to set appropriate boundaries in your life and relationships. Together we will work to understand you and your repeating patterns, as well as clarify what you want for yourself.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Forgiveness Therapy, Grief and Loss, Hope-Focused Couples Counseling, and The Gottman Method. I will meet you where you are and provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to be able to work through these issues that have brought you here.
We live life in relationship to others, which can be quite challenging at times. We often end up feeling lonely, withdrawn, and wondering if we're good enough when those challenges arise.
