About
I enjoy learning who my clients are, and working with them to help solve problems and meet their goals. With a small practice, and many years experience as a teacher and counselor, I am able to give my clients deep, personal attention and to help individuals discover how first to use the wisdom of their own minds and bodies.
I am trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Focusing, an effective approach for learning from our body-sense. In some cases, I provide support for recovery from substance abuse. As a consultant for the state and other institutions, I provide supervision and training for other clinicians.
A writer and former teacher of writing, I'm always interested in people's lives. The stories we tell and believe about ourselves greatly influence our ability to get what we want out of life. I help my clients find the power in their stories, and use it.
