About
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have specialized in working with children and families for the past 18 years. Currently, as a psychiatric therapist at a local children's hospital, I provide individual and family therapy to children and adolescents struggling with acute needs, including depression, anxiety and behavioral concerns. I primarily work within the Cognitive Behavioral Model, with a view to helping children and adolescents obtain the skills necessary to become healthy and happy adults.
I believe that my role as a therapist is to encourage the use of the client's strengths as tools to enable progression, as well as to support and enhance the parent/child relationship.
I specialize in the treatment of children and adolescents living with mood and anxiety disorders and behavioral challenges at school and at home, and have a secondary focus on supporting parents and families experiencing separation and divorce.
