I specialize in the treatment of trauma related and dissociative disorders. I have been in private practice since 2002. I completed my student and LPC internships with Timberlawn Psychiatric Hospital's Trauma Program, directed by Colin Ross, M.D. from November 1996 through February 1998. My intern work at the trauma program led me to a long-time association with Dr. Ross and a specialization in the treatment of trauma-related disorders including Dissociative Identity Disorder. I was the program director for the inpatient Trauma Treatment Program from 1998-2002.
Trauma is destructive to the emotional development of individuals. Trauma survivors maintain the core belief that they are bad and somehow to blame for what happened to them. This core distortion leads to many self destructive and addictive behaviors and relationships.
I have 20 years experience working with trauma survivors and have MANY successful clients who have worked hard to get the life that they want. I would be honored to guide you on your journey! Here is a link to a video about me. https://youtu.be/9MiQZMKk_RU
