Choosing a counselor with whom you entrust your story and reaching out to schedule an initial therapy session can be intimidating. My priority is to create a safe, non-judgmental space to hear and understand what's important to you. I provide a creative therapeutic approach to meet individuals' specific goals. I incorporate psychodynamic, attachment, mind-body and trauma-informed techniques with expertise in trauma and play based treatment models. The intention behind my work is to help clients strengthen coping skills, build emotional self-awareness, foster healthy relationships and process the impact of life transitions and trauma
My experience includes assisting children and adults with trauma, emotional/behavioral difficulties, parenting, separation/divorce, identity issues, relationship difficulties, stress management, grief/loss, and life transitions. I particularly enjoy working with foster/adoptive families and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
I've worked in a variety of therapy settings including private practice, pediatric hospital (Kennedy Krieger ) residential & hospice.
