Are you feeling angst or anxiety about current events or situations in your life where you feel you don't have power? Are you struggling with perfectionism and being an overachiever? Have you experienced loss and grief? Do you have past or current trauma impacting you? Are you facing a major life transition that is making you feel uncertain or stuck? I can be a companion on your path to healing, growth, and positive change. I take a creative and tailored approach with each client to fit your needs and goals.
I approach counseling from my life experiences and professional studies. I was a tenured professor before beginning my vocation in counseling. I use existential theory in my approach, working with you to explore uncertainty, deal with events that may feel overwhelming, and process emotions to create the life you want to lead.
I rely on evidence-based methods. My priority working with you is making sure you feel seen, heard, and supported. I want you to be the author of your own life and to find your voice and inner power to make choices and take actions that align with your true self. Counseling is about recovery, growth, and self-change, leading to self-discovery and balance.
