I believe that everyone can get stuck or lost. Sometimes we can get unstuck by connecting with someone who is compassionate, non-judgmental and objective. I have spent over 25 years in behavioral health, helping people discover and become their "best" and healthy selves. Present problems, past hurts or even diagnoses don't have to take over our lives. Problems can be solved, hurts transformed, diagnoses understood and skills can be learned. A wise person once told me, "As long as you are alive, there is hope." I believe that and offer you the opportunity to find a new way.
Training: certificate in cognitive behavioral therapy, certificate in Minfulness-based therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR (treatment for trauma), stress and anger management; incorporating spirituality into treatment; parenting/relationship issues; wellness, grief therapy, positive psychology.
I also incorporate my training as an Occupational Therapist into treatment. Although I listen deeply, I also give feedback and feedback when indicated. I am actively involved in therapy sessions, clarifying what your goals are and providing skill training to help you meet those goals.
