About
Stressful experiences, challenging behaviors, and emotional distress can impact all ages, beginning with very young children. As a clinical psychologist, my focus is to provide compassionate care and strength based support to children, teens, and families as well as adults. I am experienced treating anxiety, mood and trauma related disorders, as well as relationship issues. My treatment approach starts with an assessment of each person’s needs. Having received post doctoral training as a child and family therapist, I work through an array of cognitive behavioral interventions, expressive and talk therapies and psycho-education with ages three and older.
In addition to working with children with emotional and behavioral issues, I provide support to parents whose children have mental health issues, learning disabilities and special needs. My work with adults include those struggling in their relationships to others, as well as those with mood and anxiety disorders.
I specialize in working with families in transition, including those undergoing separations, divorce, custody or illnesses. Where needed, I help clients advocate for themselves in a variety of settings, including schools. I am committed to forming strong therapeutic bonds with the people I work with based on warmth and respect.
