Greetings! My name's Bertrona Freeman and congratulations on embarking on this exciting journey. With 17 years of experience in the counseling field, I bring a deep understanding of both addiction and mental health treatment. I have been married for 17 years and I am a mother of 3 (17-, 11-, and 4-years old). My professional background includes extensive work in addictions, complemented by broad experience supporting individuals with anxiety and depression and other mental health concerns. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
n the first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they feel safe sharing their concerns at their own pace. We will focus on building a rapport and getting to know the your background, current challenges, strengths, and what led you to seek counseling.
As a mother and someone who's worked in correctional institutions for more than 10 years, I consider myself to be very optimistic, captivating the essence of unconditional positive regard, but also honest and forth-coming in identifying discrepancy between client's desired goals and their thought process and/or actions.
