I am a psychotherapist for more than 25 years, working with individuals, couples, families, teens and children. My practice style consists of empathy and insight with a short-term, problem-solving focus. As a true professional, I encourage my clients to make changes that work and work well as they resolve their difficulties and eliminate stress. My clients achieve good success. My specialty areas are in working with children and adults with anxiety disorders; relationship difficulties (marriage counseling); children and adolescents with school and peer problems; gay/lesbian issues/transgender, career change or retirement; and breavement and other loss issues.
My honors include the Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, issued by the National Association of Social Workers and Board Certification in Advanced Clinical Social Work. Previous training includes Boston Children's Hospital Medical Center and The McLean Psychiatric Hospital, both of Harvard University and the Cambridge Family and Children's Service Agency.
