I work with adult individuals, couples, families and groups. I adopt a holistic approach, seeing my role as advocate for my clients' optimal functioning and wellness. I strive to help clients connect with their personal power, to live mindfully, and to build resilience in the face of life's stressors. I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, relationships, and Post Traumatic stress. I have trained in a range of therapeutic approaches, but am anchored in the Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral schools. My specialized training includes EMDR, ACT therapy, and the Enneagram. I have also received L1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy training.
Although my graduate training was in Counseling and Psychology, my undergraduate training was in Social work. Having trained in three major disciplines I have an unusually broad perspective on the human condition, and a multi-layered (bio-psycho-social) approach to treatment. I am also pleased to offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.
My practice is fee-for-service. By not accepting third party (insurance) reimbursement, clients' personal information is afforded an additional level of security, as there is no requirement to file a mental health diagnosis with your insurance company. This also enables me to offer a sliding fee scale if needed.
