I am in awe of how the nervous system adapts to survive overwhelming situations. I love teaching my clients about their innate resilience & abilities to heal, and connect to self & others. I believe that understanding why we respond the way we do is paramount in building the self-compassion necessary to live in line with our values. I specialize in helping adults work through relational & sexual trauma, shame, high-functioning anxiety & people-pleasing, & parenting concerns. I collaborate with my clients to cultivate self-compassion, confidence, emotional intelligence, healthy sexual expression, and communication & intimacy skills.
I am a licensed clinical social worker, as well as a sex therapist and educator practicing in MD and DE. In treatment I utilize an eclectic approach integrating Relational Gestalt Therapy, IFS, CBT, Mindfulness, DBT, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Systemic Sex Therapy. I help clients to identify & harness their innate strengths, while integrating new skills.
