In my experience, the best way to address a problem is head-on. If we avoid the things, people, and places that are stressing us out we only prolong our feelings of anxiety and depression. I believe this policy sticks whether we are dealing with avoiding cleaning a messy house, walking on eggshells with a significant other, or feeling at a loss when your child just doesn't listen. My solution-focused approach to problem solving is ideal for assisting you in many of life's challenging moments.
Our relationships as children and adults often define how we identify ourselves. I believe that if we can get your relationships on the right track: with significant others, family, etc, we will see significant change in self-esteem and decrease in problematic symptoms.
I consider my approach to therapy as being solution-focused, but my training as a psychologist has come with a well-rounded understanding of different therapeutic modalities. I hope to demonstrate the type of flexibility in my practice to help you to meet your life's goals and ambitions.
