Hello, I'm Benjii Maust a Virginia-based Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a focus on children and adolescents and LGBT+ issues. I have been a Therapist for over 7 years and have had experiences working with all population types. I primarily approach therapy through a Narrative lens, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, motivational, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy exercises to create an individualized approach for each client.
I work primarily with children, adolescents, and young adults; as well as those individuals who want to work through Gender or sexual orientation issues. I feel comfortable treating a wide array of issues but have particular experience in ADHD, Autism, Intellectual Disability, Behavioral issues, and Trauma.
I generally approach things using Narrative therapy integrating exercises and techniques from other approaches to try and find a balance of what works well with each client. I work to foster an environment of open communication, where clients feel safe to express knowing they won't be judged or their concerns disregarded.
