An ideal client or patient for me is someone who is motivated for change, or is seeking change in some area of their life. I have experience in treating anxiety disorders, substance use/addiction, and other personality or behavioral issues. I think setting small goals and focusing on mindfulness can help to foster change over time.
My primary experience in counseling has been in the treatment of anxiety, improving emotional regulation skills, and challenging negative thinking patterns. I have focused on criminal thinking/addiction and other negative thought distortions. I use primarily Cogntive Behavioral Therapy as my approach when working with clients.
If you are interested in completing a brief evaluation and assessment for counseling services - do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to meeting you and helping you foster changes in a way that fits with your personal values and goals!
