I believe the mind knows how to heal. Given the right conditions, our own wisdom guides us back to what makes us feel alive and whole. Therapy can be one of the conditions we need for healing. By becoming familiar with what blocks us and aligning with what we value and love, we begin to untangle the past and create the life we want.
I enjoy working with people of all ages, couples and families. I use mindfulness based practices for generating awareness, impulse control and self compassion. I particularly enjoy using EMDR for trauma and anxiety. With couples I use an attachment based approach to understand the patterns we bring to our relationships and the path to a solid partnership.
It takes courage to reach out for help and it is important to find the right therapist for you. I offer a free 20 minute phone or in-person consultation so that we can speak more about what you want out of therapy and so that you can get to know my approach to the work directly.
