My style is warm and I occasionally attempt humor. I know from personal experience that it can take courage to enter into conversations about change and I greatly respect the people I work with. In addition to a general practice, common topics I work with include: sex therapy, gender identity, cultivating satisfying relationships, life transitions, anti-oppression, stress, anger, grief, polyamory, shame, hope, acceptance, and integrity. I also counsel and consult on recovery from experiences of undue influence, coercion and exploitation, such as those common with con-artists and groups with cult-like features.
I began working in a private practice setting in 2016 during my master's level clinical internship at the Rainbow Health Center in Olympia, WA, under the supervision of Dr. Matt Goldenberg. Before that I worked in community mental health and provided in-school counseling for public schools in Lakewood, Washington.
After studying counseling psychology in many forms over the last 20 years, I now hold a MA Psychology degree in the Counseling Specialization program from LIOS at Saybrook University. I also graduated from the Evergreen State College with a BA in liberal arts, where I studied social psychology, education, gender studies, and social and racial justice.
